Heart of the City 2017

It is hard to believe, but this year’s Heart of the City Music and Arts Festival is only three months away! We will be back in Giovanni Caboto Park on Saturday June 3 and Sunday June 4 with another wonderful weekend of local music, poetry, and visual art!

This year will have one major change. Mike Siek, who has been the President of Heart of the City for the past few years, is stepping away from that role to focus on being the festival’s producer. While we are lucky to still have him involved in the festival, on behalf of the board of directors I would like to thank Mike for his commitment and leadership to Heart of the City. It is no exaggeration to say the festival wouldn’t happen without him!

Also, here is a big welcome to the festival’s new President, Charity Slobod, and the other new and returning members of the board. Keep your eyes peeled for more articles ahead of the big weekend in June, or head to our website heartcityfest.com for more announcements like the details of our upcoming volunteer fair.

Looking forward to seeing you all on June 3 and 4!

Rylan is a board member with Heart of the City.
