Editor’s Notes

March 2017

Since our theme for March is history, it’s the perfect time to ask: what are some of your favourite stories from the history of Boyle McCauley News? Whether you are a long-time or newer reader of these pages, we want to know what content has stuck with you.

Why are we asking? The paper’s 40th anniversary is coming up in less than two years, and we want to mark the milestone by doing something epic. One idea is to revisit and reprint some of these most memorable stories, either as a stand-alone publication or as a regular feature throughout 2019 (or some combination thereof). Contact me at editor@bmcnews.org with your suggestions.

Back to the present: I would like to thank Alan Schietzsch, who has volunteered to help with pre-press photo editing. He is helping ensure our colours and contrast will be optimum before we head to the printer.

I also want to thank Shauna Forsyth, who recently resigned from our board, for her years of service as our Secretary. A warm welcome goes out to Keri Breckenridge, who recently joined our board, and welcome back to Christine Chomiak, a previous board member who has decided to return.

Have a great month!
