Heart of the City is still seeking musical solo or group acts to partake in the Heart of the City Music and Arts Festival. To schedule an audition, contact: heartcitymusic@gmail.com by April 10.

This year’s auditions are going to be held at two inner-city drop-in shelters on three different days. The first will be at Boyle Street Community Services (10116-105 Avenue) on April 17 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The second will be at BSCS as well, on April 26 from 1-4 p.m. The third will be at Bissell Centre 10527-96 Street on April 27 from 1-4 p.m. The folks who use the drop-ins are excited to cheer on the performers!

We are also hosting a volunteer fair on April 13 at the Boys and Girls Club (9425-109A Avenue). It’s from noon-4 p.m. At the event we’ll have information on how people and artists in the area can get involved or volunteer. There will also be information about the festival, activities for the kids, refreshments, and information for teens who want to help out.
