The summer has been wonderful, despite all of the bugs. I enjoy the smell of barbequing hot dogs and other yummy, fun food such as baked potatoes. I may try my hand at cooking up a storm on my barbeque in the near future and invite a few people over to have fellowship together.

Preparations for get-togethers like this can be hectic, especially in terms of getting the necessary items. I usually like to shop at various shops in McCauley such as the Italian Centre situated in Little Italy. It has a vast array of different pastas and wonderful teas. As well, I enjoy Lucky 97 in Chinatown. These places have so many different foods but at affordable prices.

When I put on an event, I like to have a good variety of dishes for my company. At other times, I find it refreshing when I can go out and enjoy a nice meal with my friends and family. Places like these little hidden restaurants in the neighborhood are really nice facilities. One place I frequent is Humpty’s Restaurant. It is within walking distance of my home and has good service. I try to sample a few other places in Chinatown. The cuisine is quite interesting and delicious.

To eat and be merry is good. To live and be happy is also very wonderful. To enjoy good food and warm loving friendships is contentment for the soul and is also such fun!
