At a ceremony attended by numerous dignitaries and community members, the Boyle Renaissance Phase One officially opened on March 21.

The Boyle Renaissance Phase One is comprised of two buildings linked by a public space: the Melcor YMCA Welcome Village, offering 150 units of affordable housing, and Boyle Street Plaza, which houses the Boyle Street Community League, the Shirley Stollery YMCA Child Care Centre, and the YMCA Family Resource Centre.

Construction on the Boyle Renaissance began in 2010.
