This year marked the fifth anniversary of East Meets West, a celebration of the different cultures in the area. The Chinatown Festival took place on August 17, featuring music, dancing, food, and an outdoor market. Viva Italia, Viva Edmonton (VIVE) happened the following weekend on August 25. Part of 95 Street was shut down to make way for a classic car show and food vendors, while in Caboto Park there was a large stage (featuring music, dancing, and a pizza eating contest), cooking demonstrations, soccer, and wine tasting. New this year was a wrestling ring and an entertainment stage for children. Here is a look at just some of the fun!
