Seeking Program Input

We want you, Boyle Streeters (or at least your opinion)!

We had some great programs and events in Boyle Street over the summer and we hope you were able to join as for a few !

  • City of Edmonton Green Shack and Flying Eagle program at Mother Theresa School.
  • Broadway Bound.
  • Canada Day celebration and BBQ.
  • “Coffee in the Quarters” as part of the Make Something Edmonton/DIYcity initiative.
  • “Pop Up Coffee Café” with the Neighbourhood Empowerment Team.
  • Community Garage Sale and Donation Event and the Big Bin.
  • Quarters Arts “York Moments” Art installation and the Art and Garden Tour.

And of course we had our regular programming such as Hatha Yoga, Badminton, Ballroom Dance and Hip Hop Classes, and Quarters Arts night.

As we move into the fall season and say goodbye to the hot and sunny weather, we start to think about programs and events to keep us active and engaged during the winter months, both indoor and outdoor pursuits.

What would you like to see in your Community? Our Abundant Community Initiative Neighbourhood Connectors will be out an about in Boyle Street, so that will be the perfect time to share your interests and wish lists to build our vibrant community.

Look forward to some great events coming in September: Outdoor movie night, Culture Days, and another Coffee in the Quarters. Keep an eye on our Facebook and Website.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with BSCL or want to give us some feedback about what programs or events you would like to see, give us a call at (780) 422-5857 or email me at karenbscl@gmail.com.

The BSCL Board said a fond farewell to our Treasurer Woon Lam. Woon has served for many years on the Board, and his hard work and dedication to the community were invaluable. Thank you Woon for all you’ve done and we wish you best of luck in your future endeavours.

A warm welcome to our new interim Treasurer Jordan Reiniger. Thank you for joining us in this important role and we look forward to having you on the Board.

Make sure to add our Web Page and Facebook page to your favorites for quick and easy reference to all out great programs and upcoming events! We look forward to seeing (and hearing from) you!
