Sports is Love

It has been wonderful weather to go out and maybe kick the ball around or just take a nice leisurely walk. I occasionally try to go for a walk even if I feel tired or too sore to move. I have also made good choices to eat right and exercise, so I can try to stay reasonably healthy. No matter what age one is, from the young to the elderly, it is a good idea to go out and enjoy some fun times.

Something fun is a nice game of baseball. When I was in grade school, I used to love playing baseball. It was my favourite pastime. Part of the fun was just going out and joining a team of other kids. My most enjoyable moment while playing baseball was when I hit a home run.

In junior high I played on a girl’s basketball team. My team was not very good but it was a good experience. It’s all about having fun and good sportsmanship. As we are creatures of nature, we all tend to become competitive. In many sports, it is good to have a good positive attitude but sometimes it is easy to feel disappointed or upset.

My daughter loved to play soccer in elementary school. She seemed to enjoy running and kicking the ball. Like mother like daughter, as I had my share of playing soccer several times at school during physical education classes, even though I liked baseball the best. There are so many wonderful kinds of sports for people to enjoy and weather permitting, its good to go out and get into a game.

I had two different acquaintances who I think have a beautiful heart for kids. One of them started a soccer group for kids in McCauley. I am not sure it exists anymore. The other one had and all-ages soccer drop-in group on Wednesdays. What a wonderful way to show love for kids. We should all show love to one another, and coming together to play sports is one way of doing this.
