Busy Winter

Children skating at the rink on a Saturday afternoon. Paula E. Kirman

January was very busy around the rink. Five hundred and seventy three people came out to use the rink in January. The rink was closed for 12 days in January due to cold weather or heavy snowfalls. The numbers are very impressive and the rink continues to be a popular place.

On January 26 the rink was packed full of people who were treated to music presented by DJs DPro and Prairie Dawn to dance along while skating. With the music there was pizza, hot chocolate, and a bonfire. Big thanks go out to Latitude 53 (Todd Janes) and McCauley Revitalization for sponsoring the event. Also thank you to Grace Kuipers, and all the other staff at the rink who helped with the event.

We are now planning for the annual Family Day Skating Party at the rink. We will have pictures and a story on the event in the next issue of Boyle McCauley News.
