Postcard From Virginia Falls
Virginia Falls are on the Nahanni River just above the Fourth Canyon, and are twice as high as Niagara Falls. Below the falls, the river runs through three more canyons with sheer rock walls, through the Funeral Range and Deadman’s Valley into the Lliard River. The Nahanni River is so filled with silt that there are no fish. The ten day canoe trip began at the falls and ended at Lindberg Landing on the Lliard River.
