Wisdom and Challenges

Where does the wisdom come from? Good question. From my experience, wisdom can come from our belief systems.

During the warm days of summer, I sat outside in my makeshift gazebo. I put out my old couch in my back yard so as I could relax outside and take in the air. I am also grateful I was able to enjoy it, and spend time with family.

A healing journey is very productive but it’s like climbing a huge mountain. There may be slips along the way and then you reach out and grab another section of rock and cling on and keep climbing. Triumphantly, we can all be conquerors in many facets of life like a storm preparing to wreak its wild wind and tumultuous fists of thunder.

Speaking of thunder, I experienced the wild weather this summer. I don’t dare go out when the rain is raging outside. As the flow of the storm rises like a hammer, pounding long and hard at my humble homestead, I am comforted by praying and seeking solace by listening to gospel music.

There have been some new changes in my life’s journey again sending me into a new direction. I feel so blessed in many ways by my family and my extended family in the neighbourhood. It’s painful sometimes to change directions and leave some people behind but it’s always good meeting new people to fill in the gaps so that one does not stay in mourning too long but can embrace life with joy.

Life may have its challenges but one can challenge life with new habits, since we are creatures of habit. So, be kind to yourself and also to others. Pray always, love one another, be kind, and show charity.
