McCauley’s Dan Glugosh received a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal on October 11. The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s ascension to the Throne as Queen of Cananda. Additionally, it serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians (like Dan). The medal program is part of the Jubilee year celebrations, organized by the Government of Canada.

The event was hosted by Principal Don Blackwell, Queen Elizabeth High School, and Peter Goldring, Member of Parliament – Edmonton East.
