In December and early January, Joanne McNeal noticed that the lights and decorations in many McCauley front yards enhanced the holiday spirit. She decided to take a walk through the neighbourhood, camera in hand.

A new contest, called Winterscapes is being coordinated through the Communities in Bloom group, as an effort to get creative folks out there in our winter season, doing the same kind of theme as Front Yards in Bloom, but using winter ideas in beautifying their front yards. The contest is not specifically aimed at light displays, but will hopefully get creative juices flowing.
