Welcome to our March issue. As is typical in print publishing, we work a few weeks ahead of our publication date, so I am actually writing this in mid-February around the time of our editorial deadline (which is always the 12th of the month, for those of you interested in contributing stories or photos!).

Our theme this month is “Neighbours” and judging from the submissions that came in, people in Boyle Street and McCauley really care about their community and the people around them.

We’re getting more regular contributors from Boyle Street, people like John Hooper, Manon Aubry, Jacqueline Ohm, and now Karen Jackson, who has taken over the BSCL updates. In part of our centrespread, we celebrate some of our neighbours in McCauley who are long-time volunteers not only with the paper, but also throughout the community.

Our block carriers are also an important way the paper gets delivered throughout McCauley (we use Canada Post for Boyle Street). We have a couple of routes available – contact me for more information, or to provide feedback, contributions, questions, or suggestions: editor@bmcnews.org.
