    In 2019, parking restrictions during major COMMONWEALTH STADIUM events will be in effect during the times indicated above. During a major event, only vehicles displaying a valid permit may park in the restricted residential parking area surrounding the stadium. • Parking in restricted areas is a violation if a valid permit is not displayed on the front windshield of the vehicle. • Vehicles in violation may be fined $100.00 and towed from site. • It is an offence under the Traffic Bylaw, Bylaw 5590, section 74 ($250.00 fine) to drive across a sidewalk or boulevard where there is no curb crossing in order to park vehicles. To obtain a residential parking permit you must be a resident of the restricted area, and be able to produce a valid vehicle registration documenting your residency in the restricted area. Single dwelling homes and multi-family buildings (three stories or less) qualify for parking permits. Residents can apply for a Temporary Parking Permit for guests at least one week prior to an event (temporary permits are available online).
