Fun and Games at the McCauley Cup
Community fun on a beautiful day at the Third Annual McCauley Cup
On a very warm December 28, the community of McCauley held its annual shinny hockey game with the Downtown Division Beat Team. New for 2011, the North Division Beat members came out as well. With both beat teams and the community kids we had over 40 people out to enjoy the game of shinny hockey.
There were many community members who also came by to cheer on the teams and enjoy a hotdog and a cup of hot chocolate. Everyone who participated received an Edmonton Oilers jersey thanks to All Play Sports. There was also a draw for two one-piece sticks and a signed jersey, thanks to Nick Holden.
The McCauley Cup is such a wonderful event for both the community and the EPS to get together having fun and building community relations with each other.
I would like to give a very big thanks to Sgt. David Kabyn who puts in a lot of time organizing donations and getting both his Downtown Division beat team and the North Division beat members out to the event.
